Check Back on February 1st, 2011
I was going to try and keep updating this blog, until my new one goes up, but I've decided that this will be the last blog post till I announce my new blog. I'm hoping to launch the new one on February 1st, 2011 and I need some time to set that up. If all goes well, I'll put up a link here and hopefully you'll all check it out. Mark your calendar! It's going to be a little looser and more improvisational than this one, but it will still involve me going out (most nights) and recording it with a camera and words the next day.
This upcoming Monday morning (January 17th) I'm going to be interviewed on 1470 WMBD Radio on the Greg and Dan Show at 7:40 CST, 8:40 EST. Yikes, that's early! Here's Greg and Dan below with comedian Emo Philips (who wrote a cover story for my magazine POP, all those beers...I mean, years ago.) I went to the trouble to paint on manly moustaches on both Greg and Dan (so they wouldn't look like flittering Nancy boys). No need to thank me guys, it's what I do! And check out producer Jessica's blog here: Jessica's Blog.
Two manly men with Emo Philips. From left: Greg Batton, Emo Philips and Dan Diorio.
Once again, thanks to all of you for tuning in, reading and leaving comments. You people made this blog and I appreciate you following it. Check back for the new link on February 1st, 2011. Sneeze ya in a couple of weeks.
In the meantime, revisit the bar list and some of the bars from last year. Cheers! Here's Joan Jett.
And my friends, Brad and Chloe a.k.a. The Handcuffs!

Can't wait for the new blog! And Greg and Dan should thank you for making them look so manly! LOL!
17 days of no Marty :(
I'm sad :(
@GENE: I'll be back before you know it with a new blog just waiting for a guest appearance from the BBC and the ABC!
Will stay tuned, can't wait to see the new one up and running. And hey we get to hear your sexy voice on the radio again in the mean time ;)
@kari: Thanks! As far as the sexy voice, at that time of the morning it'll probably sound more like warmed-over gravel!
okie dokie the dates on the calendar. see you in a couple weeks. have fun on the radio!
@365:
What will you do now ? after all of this action over the past year, will you be able to relax ? or, will you have the urge to get out and do something ??
I'd be bored. I'd probably start a new blog of 1,000 bars in 1,000 days :)
@GENE: I've been happy just to go home and work on my new blog and watch a movie. I'm resting up for the next adventure!
@365: What about Cheeseburger Saturday night?
I just e-mailed Butch's Pizza......I must try it.
@Terry: Cheeseburger Saturday Night will probably continue with the new blog. Can't wait to see what you think of the Butch's Pizza!
shit! I tried to listen if the live radio works, so i can listen monday, but since I erased that fucking shitty windows fucking vista from my laptop and put windows 7, there's something wrong and can't listen to most of live things on web :( even if i got the good plugs.................. will someone record it and put it on youtube?
@Zioum Zioum: I vote for Jason to put it up on YouTube, it wouldn't be the first time he's put me up there!
17 days...17 days...withdrawl...gaaaaa...(picture Jaws in fetal position on filthy living room floor, banging his head rhythmically against the wall and sucking his thumb)...

@Jaws:
I hear ya !
I'm getting off the floor for a little bit and doing the 365 thing in Baltimore this weekend ! It'll take my mind off of this withdrawl thing :)
@Gene: Ever been to Walt's, a really cool old bar near Canton Square, Baltimore?
@Al:
No :( I've been to everyplace in that area - except there. It's a few blocks off the beaten path in Canton - and I actually just recently discovered it -- and have made a mental note to go there next time I'm in the neighborhood. We don't go to Canton often ... the parking is horrible ! We usually hang out in the Federal Hill / Locust Pont area (near the stadiums) ... and sometimes in Fells Point.
Me and Smoops are at Ropewalk, in Federal Hill, now. I'm having a few Kilkenny's on draft (which is a beer nearly impossible to find) -- I only know of 2 places on Earth to find it :) and both of them are in Baltimore. I've never seen Kilkenny in NYC either :(
Walt's will be on my list soon though !
@GENE: I nominate you to be this year's barcrawling blogger!
dziękuję Jazon!
PS: You're upside down!
That Joan jet video is super funny , never heard sing that , & wasn't that song was used in the Lavern & Sherlly show ?
COLD
@JHwang: It was the theme song to the Mary Tyler Moore Show.
Looouuuu Looouuuuu hahahahahahahahaha
