About Marty Wombacher

I'm a writer who lives in New York City (downtown Manhattan.) I've written for Time Out New York, NY Press, Manhattan Spirit, Pekin Daily Times, Curio and Gadfly magazine, among others.

I'm an experienced bar writer and reviewer having written reviews and stories about taverns for Time Out New York and ny.citysearch.com.

In 2002 I wrote a book called 99 Beers Off The Wall where I went to 99 bars and drank 99 beers in seven days and then wrote reviews of the bars. In between the reviews there's also an ongoing travelogue of my adventures wandering around the island of Manhattan in a somewhat drunken stupor. I have two other websites: The Marty Wombacher Show and Morning Sucks that are wonderful islands of writing, photos and structured insanity. Both are on indefinite hiatus, but you can enjoy the many pages of archival fun.
