More Shots From the 365th Night!
First off I'd like to mention two blogs who wrote about the last day of my 365 bar crawl. My friends from The Half Empty Glass showed me a lot of support through this year and even hung out with me on two of the more memborable evenings. I really had a lot of fun at Mike's Tavern on the 365th night of the bar crawl. A good crowd showed up and I got to hang out with a lot of friends I don't get to see very often. One of those friends is Jim "Butch" Borho. I've been friends with this guy for years. We've had many crazy times together (we once shared a stripper, a long story I'm not going to get into now) and I'm always happy to see him. He came to the party at Mike's armed with not only a powerful thirst, but a camera as well. He took lots of photos and here they are. Thanks, Vern (he's one of my two friends I call Vern, don't ask why, I really don't know), I look forward to seeing you in April!
(Note the second to last photo, it's Polaroid I had sent to Vern decades ago when my hair was actually black. Check out the caption, clearly a blogger at heart, even back then!)

By the way, what the hell is that thing that appeared on your head? It certainly stuck there pretty well. I guess I can make out a beer mug on it, but I can't read what it says.

@Fat Al: That's a free beer wooden nickel from Mike's. I'm saving it as a souvenir of the 365 journey. It stayed on my forehead all night!
Mike's Tavern from the inside looks to me like a very large place with multiple rooms. Also going by the pictures, a long bar and several entrances. Yet from the outside it looks rather small, and like it's sitting in the back of the corner house. Also it looks like an old residential neighborhood. And how cool is that,,,to have a bar in a neighborhood,, its like you never have to leave the area. I want to move across the street, no driving=no DUI. lol

Marty; That second to last photo...the Polaroid...you look vaguely Sicilian, like a Goodfella with all that black hair!
Excellent photos, Vern! I especially like the one near the top with the red glow to it - I like to call that one "Marty: Profiles in Beerage." And I agree with Jaws on that vintage photo. You reminded me of Silvio Dante, but with a nicer rack.
